Our battery tipping units are built to deliver fast, intelligent support to live networks. Available in 24, 30, 50 and 110 voltages, up to 200 A/Hr, each BTU is configured to meet your exact site requirements.
Designed and manufactured in Leeds, our BTU’s combine advanced hardware with integrated control. The enclosure is compact and clean, with an internal layout built around simplicity, access and thermal performance.

Battery Tripping Unit (BTU) – Key Features & Benefits
Our BTU provides reliable DC standby power with a flexible design and high efficiency (minimum 86% across the full operating range). It includes an intelligent four-stage charging profile, automatic boost mode with no external intervention, and built-in battery health checks to support long-term performance.
A clear backlit LCD display module shows multiple parameters at once, with alarm indication and an IP65-rated enclosure for tough site environments.
The unit includes comprehensive protection as standard, including AC input over/undervoltage, output overcurrent/overvoltage, battery undervoltage alarms, short-circuit and reverse polarity protection with auto-recovery, plus automatic self-testing and power de-rating at high ambient temperatures. Optional upgrades include battery temperature compensation (PT1000), volt-free mains failure contacts, and remote monitoring via GSM auto-dialler or remote display (up to 1.2km via RS485).
